When a child is told to lead the adult choir of their church at the tender age of 12, you know they’re destined for great things.

That is the story of Ejiro Melkam, Nigerian born, Manchester based singer songwriter. The mother of 3 started singing at the age of 10 in Nigeria as part of her church youth group. She quickly impressed the church leadership to the point that a couple of years later she was leading a church choir of which her mother was a member.  ejiro-melkam-manchester-worship-leader

Since moving to Manchester Ejiro Melkam has become a highly requested praise and worship minster. She has graced stages such as Festival of Life in London and Manchester (the UK’s largest Christian gathering), and other major events such Festival of Praise and the GPlus Awards with powerful and anointed worship.

With one of her greatest musical influences being Whitney Houston, the singer has not limited herself to the church but has also had experience in performing in theatre and was even offered the opportunity to go to London and be involved in Broadway productions.

Ejiro Melkam has taken the next step into being a recording artist with her debut EP set to be released in 2018 and her debut single ‘Deserved’ recently released in October 2017. For the EP, she has worked with popular Manchester based vocalist Carla Jane as well as Producer Ezekiel Omosebi from Ezy J Productions.
