Officially launched on Friday 8th December, the True Worship New Artist Showcase (TWNAS) is a very exciting and unique inclusion in True Worship Summit series of events and activities. The TWNAS ‘competition’ will provide an opportunity for both aspiring and established unsigned artists to win the music opportunity of a lifetime with prizes worth up to £50,000.
True Worship Summit is an Annual European Conference set to make its official debut in London from the 8th – 10th March 2018. The highly anticipated series of activities brings together some of the most influential names in UK & US Gospel with the aim to empower, educate and equip in one epic conference. For the very first time, Europe will see the likes of Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton, Marvin Sapp, Kim Burrell, Kiki Sheard and Donald Lawrence alongside Muyiwa, Noel Robinson, Bazil Meade of LCGC, Mark Beswick, Lurine Cato and other top UK talent across the three days.
“The True Worship New Artist Showcase allows us to kick-start something rather special in 2018. Not only does it allow us to showcase the best that the UK has to offer but it allows giants in the gospel industry to pour into some of our very own through their artistry and ministry”, says event organiser and artist Michael Agyei.
He added, “Many doors have been opened thanks to this conference and we are just excited to be able to extend the opportunity where it didn’t exist before.”
Prizes for the winner of New Artist Showcase amount to a whopping £50,000 and include a recording contract, international distribution deal, album recorded in Toronto, Canada, lead single produced by Fred Hammond, vocal coaching by Kim Burrell, album release concert, photoshoot, website and music video for the lead single.
There are a total of 5 Stages to the competition, starting with artists being asked to create and submit two video entries of songs by any of the overseas guest artists for True Worship Summit 2018 namely Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Kierra Sheard, Kim Burrell, Donald Lawrence, Israel Houghton.
The Stages continue through to judging and shortlisting with the top 3 finalists announced by 5th March. At the True Worship Summit, all 3 finalists will perform an original song after which the winner will be announced. The winner will also perform live at the celebration concert.

- STAGE 1 | 8th Dec 17 – 14th Jan 18 (12 noon)
- Create and submit two video entries
- One cover of a song by any of our guest artistes for True Worship Summit 2018 Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Kierra Sheard, Kim Burrell, Donald Lawrence, Israel Houghton (For Stage 2 voting)
- One original song,preferably, or further cover (For Stage 3 voting)
- STAGE 2 | 16th Jan 18 – 30th Jan 18
- Public voting on the True Worship Summit website for all New Artist entrants
- Top 25 New Artist entrants with the most votes will be shortlisted for Stage 3
- Our Judges will have ‘Stage 2 wildcards’ to select 5 additional New Artist entrants to proceed to Stage 3
- Shortlist of 30 New Artist entrants announced on 31st Jan 18 for Stage 3
- STAGE 3 | 1st Feb 18 – 13th Feb 18
- Public voting on the True Worship Summit website for all successful Stage 2 New Artist entrants
- Top 5 New Artist entrants with the most votes will be shortlisted for Stage 4
- Our Judges will have ‘Stage 3 wildcards’ to select 5 additional New Artist entrants to proceed to Stage 4
- Shortlist of 10 New Artist entrants announced on the on 14th Feb 2018 for Stage 4
- STAGE 4 | 16th Feb 18 – 4th Mar 18
- Online vocal coaching by Kim Burrell
- The final 10 New Artist Entrants will be given a song by Kim Burrell to cover.
- Our Judges will select 3 finalists to proceed to Stage 5 and will be announced on the 5th March
- STAGE 5 | 9th Mar 18 – 10th Mar 18
- All 3 finalists will perform an original song at the True Worship Summit Conference in front of our Judges
The winner will be announced on the 10th Mar 18 and will perform at the True Worship Summit.
