Maverick City music lovers and fans received an emotional announcement by worship leaders Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine announcing their departure from Maverick City Music.
This is one of the major shake ups of 2025 in the contemporary gospel and worship space. Both artiste are undoubtably the most recognizable voices of Maverick City Music.
Chandler Moore described the move as “bittersweet,” noting the profound impact Maverick City had on his life and ministry. “I gave Maverick everything,” Moore wrote. “It was like raising your own child. But now, it’s time for me to step into what’s next.”
Naomi Raine echoed same sentiments, thanking her fellow artists and supporters for walking the journey with her. “This isn’t goodbye to worship,” she said, “just a new chapter. I’m excited for what God is calling me to now.”
Maverick City Music, founded in 2018, quickly rose to global prominence by bringing together artists across racial, denominational, bridging a huge gap within the contemporary music space. Moore and Raine were central figures in that rise, featuring on chart-topping worship anthems such as “Jireh,” “Promises,” and lots more.
Alot of questions continue to pop up regarding the group’s future direction without two of its most influential voices. Neither artist cited internal conflict, though Moore did mention ongoing legal proceedings being handled by his team. We looked out the social media handles of Maverick city and founding supporting the legal issue raised. Hopefully this may come to the public eye in future.
Despite the exits, both Moore and Raine made it clear they remain passionate about worship, music, and ministry. Naomi prior to the announcement had released an album Jesus Over Everything While Chandler released an 8 tracks album including the global hit sound Omemma Live
Following the announcement now official statement has been made from Maverick City Music.
