Colleen Macauley releases Dis Love Na Wan Tintin

Written by on 4th June 2019

Colleen Macauley is an African British woman who is embarking on her music career. Continuing singing in gospel churches for the past 20+ years she has released her first single “Dis Love Na Wan Tin Tin” shimmering with gospel sensations and R&B sounds.

Speaking about her debut single, Colleen spoke to our correspondent about her passion and how the song was birthed. Excerpt below,

After 25 years of writing, that’s like way back to school days. I didn’t really see it as a career, I saw it as a gift and something I’d like to nurture and just sing but times and seasons changed, family life work life ,then you forget about your dream a bit ,the busy life takes over not until middle of last year when I felt a strong urge that I should start writing again and then I started writing and by November, it was strongly confirmed that I had to realise these songs especially this first release “Dis love na wan tintin”. It ultimately talks of the intimate relationship I share with Christ every day. The lyrics of the song is about my relationship with Jesus and the happenings of when I accepted him as my lord and saviour.

Colleen went further to share the inspiration behind the new song;

My inspiration was based on His genuine love for me so I would say this love has drove me to become a true worshipper. I love being in His presence, the feeling is unexplainable and indescribable. It’s just awesome yeah, I love this guy Jesus.
On the 25th of Dec I was hospitalized with a terrible migraine, on the 26th boxing day, I was ok and found myself writing about God’s amazing love which is so strong like a rock, it’s called a ‘’Wan tintin’’ love unbreakable and indestructible. This was the kind of feeling I had on the day I wrote it. I couldn’t get enough of His love for myself so I wanted to share this excitement and tell the whole world what it is like to have a soulmate like Jesus He filled my void.

It’s different to the norm of gospel music we listen to everyday so as it’s wrapped with emotions, I did a soul gospel. It’s also a sort of song that as Christians, you can play in the bedroom to appreciate God’s love and it keeps the bound stronger for couples i.e. not singles, Singles should verge their love on Jesus and appreciate relationships around them.
So, I’m looking out for this song to be the Christian wedding’s favourite tune, let’s appreciate God’s love on our big day and celebrate him as well as He’s the orchestrator of the great love we celebrate on our wedding days.
So, if you’re out there and have been writing, your talent can be stalled but can be revived and come out with those songs and be a blessing.
Its carry’s a message of great love that everyone is looking but in the wrong places. The message here is, you can have a friend, a father, a husband or anything you want Jesus to be in your life really. I’m not sure who or what you’re looking for. I want to say to you He can fill your void.
