Daniel Ojo drops Solid Rock

September 2, 2020 Wednesday night, I was in the living room, resting after a long busy day of work and I had the impression to pick up my guitar. (A number of times God has spoken to me or given me a song this way). So I picked up my guitar, my book & pen, and God led me to Psalms 46 and told me to start writing from the chapter. This is so surreal for me to be able to write an entire song right from the scriptures, one of my best part of song-writing. It was just like God was putting the melodies in my heart and I was just listening and writing as they come.
This year 2020 out of other years has been a very different one, full of many ups and downs, losses and disappointments, success and failures, despair, fear, anxiety, pain and to top it all, the relentless COVID-19 disease which has taken a lot of lives and essentially put the world in a stand still and out of order!! But in the midst of all this, God is reminding us I AM YOUR SOLID ROCK!! Be not moved, no matter what is going on, I AM YOUR REFUGE & STRENGTH, just be still and know I AM GOD.
PS. 46:1 says “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
PS. 46:3-5 says “Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.”
This is the entirety of what this song “Solid Rock” is all about and I am just grateful to be able to share God’s word and message in a song. I have no doubt this song is going to be a huge blessing to the world because God’s word is TRUE.
