Gospel artists from across the UK and beyond, have once again come together, putting music to work in ministering to the need of others. The Gospel Artists Unite rolling collective have put together a video, performing ‘Amazing Grace’ to raise much-needed funds (£2000 target) for Cavell Nurses’ Trust.
According to the JustGiving page, Cavell Nurses’ Trust are here for UK Nurses, Midwives and HCAs, whether working or retired, with money and support when they are living through personal or financial hardship, often because of illness, domestic abuse, disability, working poverty and older age.
They offer a bespoke package of support to help those in hardship, which includes:
- Emotional support for those in crisis
- Advice on maximising benefits
- Signposting to specialist services
- One-off grants to quickly relieve financial hardship
- Rapid emergency funding for those at great risk
Right now the charity is emotionally and financially supporting nursing midwifery staff affected by Coronavirus every single day. In March, they supported more nurses, midwives and HCAs than ever before and downloads of the Welfare application form tripled.
This support is over and above what they’re providing to other nursing and midwifery professionals who are living with cancer, fleeing domestic abuse or suffering from poor mental health.
