Hillsong UNITED – Whole Heart (Hold Me Now)”

Written by on 25th April 2019

Following up their standout worship album Wonder, which featured their popular song, “So Will I (100 Billion X),” churches and believers around the world celebrate the release of People (Live) on April 26th. Don’t miss out on this incredible worship album, one of the best of the year and my all-time favorite Hillsong UNITED album. Once again they have released their newest “best” album.

If you’ve always enjoyed Hillsong UNITED’s corporate worship anthems, you’re in for a treat with this album. It has a great balance of male and female-led vocals and it is chock-full of songs for the Church and songs for personal reflection and worship. People is loaded with several stirring new worship songs that really set me in the proper mindset to praise God for loving me so much that He gave His life away for all that was lost. I really enjoy the exciting musical vibe of this album, and the melodies are catchy and the lyrics are prayerful. The album features stellar vocals, catchy melodies and solid lyrics reflecting unashamed faith in Jesus.

I have consistently been blessed by each album from Hillsong UNITED with their staples “Hosanna,” “Lead Me To The Cross,” “Oceans,” “Touch the Sky” and “Scandal of Grace” all being sung at church worship services worldwide and putting the Word of God into the minds, mouths, and hearts of Christians everywhere. I had the chance to speak with Taya Smith and Aodhan King about “Whole Heart (Hold Me Now).”

Lyrics:

Hold me now
In the hands that created the heavens
Find me now
Where the grace runs as deep as Your scars

You pulled me from the clay
Set me on a rock
Called me by Your Name
And made my heart whole again

Lifted up
And my knees know it’s all for Your glory
That I might stand
With more reasons to sing than to fear

You pulled me from the clay
Set me on a rock
Called me by Your Name
And made my heart whole again

So here I stand
High in surrender
I need You now
Hold my heart
Now and forever
My soul cries out

Once I was broken
But You loved my whole heart through
Sin has no hold on me
‘Cause Your grace holds me now

And that grace
Owns the ground where the grave did
Where all my shame remains
Left for dead in Your wake
You crashed those age-old gates
You left no stone unturned
You stepped out of that grave
And shouldered me all the way

Once I was broken
But You loved my whole heart through
Sin has no hold on me
‘Cause Your grace holds me now

Healed and forgiven
Look where my chains are now
Death has no hold on me
‘Cause Your grace holds that ground
And Your grace holds me now
