Kim Walker-Smith to Release ‘Brave Surrender’ Book, April 2
Written by Sunny Unachi on 5th February 2019
Via a video featuring the song “Brave Surrender” from her 2017 solo album On My Side,
Jesus Culture’s Kim Walker-Smith recently announced that her
long-awaited book will be released April 2, 2019. In the video, a woman
seems to be preparing for her personal devotions by arranging some books
on a coffee table and pouring herself a cup of pour-over coffee. The
woman removes the top books from the pile to reveal the cover of Brave Surrender
as the book’s namesake song swells to its chorus in the background. “I
am so happy to share my story, my redemption through Jesus, and the
reason why I worship in my book Brave Surrender. It comes out April 2 everywhere and it WILL be available on audio,” Walker-Smith shares.
Fans and fellow artists alike have flocked to the post to express
excitement and encouragement. “Doesn’t get much better than this,” Chris
Tomlin wrote. Worship singer/songwriter Christy Nockels also chimed in:
“Wow, BEAUTIFUL!!! So proud of you! God is going to use this so
powerfully!”
The book’s full title is Brave Surrender: Let God’s Love Rewrite Your Story. Part of the book’s synopsis on Amazon reads: “Brave Surrender
is the story of how Kim journeyed from a place of shame and fear to
stages around the world where she boldly proclaims the unconditional
love of God. Through her own story, Kim inspires us to experience true
freedom and healing with Jesus.” Brave Surrender is available for pre-order now.
