Controversial rapper Snoop Dogg has swapped songs about drugs and girls for a new track about God (and drugs).
The American music artist, who’s sold more than 35 million albums across the world, has teamed up with gospel artist B-Slade for the song titled Words are few.
Lyrics in the song include: “Things ain’t what they seem, feeling Like I’m fooling me.
“I know God is calling me, I’m not where I’m supposed to be.
“Sitting here smoking trees, when I should be on my knees.”
The song is the first from a new ‘gospel project’ he’s been working on.
Speaking to Beats 1 Radio earlier this year, he said: “I’m working on a gospel album. It’s always been on my heart.
“I just never got around to it because I always be doing gangsta business and doing this and doing that. But I just feel like it’s been on my heart too long.”
Fred Hammond is also expected to feature on the album.
