Singers in Edinburgh invited to Stockbridge Church for Songs of Praise recording

Written by on 29th July 2017

The popular BBC One programme, ‘Songs of Praise’ is visiting Stockbridge Church in Edinburgh on 4 August to record a selection of hymns for use in future episodes.

Producer Karen Hannah has said that individual singers and groups from churches are welcome to apply.

“Songs of Praise has been championing Christian music for over 55 years and continues to be enormously popular,” Ms Hannah said.

“For this to continue into the future Hannah says they are especially keen for enthusiastic singers to join, as they will become a specially-formed massed choir, who will lead the viewers at home in the singing.”

Do you love to sing, are interested in being a part of this programme then apply by sending an email to SOPcongregations@avantimedia.tv with the subject line Edinburgh Recording.

Email must include your name, the name of your church and the number of singers who plan to attend. Keen singers should also include their voice parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Baritone).
