It’s the start of a new month!

Welcome to November!

As we embark on this new month, our focus for this week is on the intentional nature of God.

Every detail of our lives is intricately designed by our Heavenly Father, much like a potter meticulously shapes clay. Our focal scripture for this week is found in the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 64:8 But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.

The Potter’s Masterpiece: Walking In Divine Blueprints

Imagine a potter’s workshop where clay takes shape into beautiful vessels. Just as the scripture in Isaiah suggests, we are the clay, and God is the potter. This truth is exemplified in the life of Craig, a member of our congregation.

The remarkable story of Craig, vividly illustrates God’s intentional plan at work in our lives. Craig’s life was marked by a series of unexpected turns, testing his faith and determination.

In his early years, Craig had pursued a career in finance, which seemed promising.

However, as life unfolded, he faced setbacks, including a job loss and personal struggles. These challenges left him feeling adrift and questioning the purpose of his journey. In his moments of uncertainty, Craig turned to prayer and sought guidance from the Word of God. He clung to the scripture from Isaiah, meditating on the idea of God as the Potter and us as the clay. This meditation helped him realise that God was shaping his life intentionally.

Craig began to look at his experiences, both positive and challenging, through a new lens. He saw the job loss not as a setback but as an opportunity for a career change. He began to volunteer at a local nonprofit, discovering a passion for helping others. This unexpected turn in his life eventually led him to a career in humanitarian work, where he felt a profound sense of purpose. In hindsight, Craig understood that God had been molding him for a purpose greater than he had initially envisioned. The twists and turns of his life were all part of God’s intentional design to prepare him for a meaningful mission of service.

Prayer Points:

1.  Pray for the grace to embrace the shaping process, even during challenging times, recognising that God’s intention is at work in every detail.

3.  Pray that we may seek and discover the unique purpose that God has in mind for each one of us, just as Craig did.

4. Pray for the strength to walk in faith, knowing that God’s intention is for our good and His glory, and that He is always with us.

As we welcome the month of November, let us remember that we are the clay, and God is the Potter, shaping our lives with divine intention. May we find comfort in knowing that His plan is purposeful, and each of us is a masterpiece in the making.

May God’s intentional love and guidance be with you throughout this month.

In His Grace,

Heartsong Live Team
