Devotional: GOD’S GRACE | June 18, 2026
Written by Sunny Unachi on 18th June 2026
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
Grace is God’s unearned favor toward us. It is one of the most beautiful truths of the gospel. We are not saved because of our goodness, achievements, or religious efforts; we are saved because of God’s grace through Jesus Christ.
Grace not only saves us but also sustains us. Every day, we rely on God’s grace for strength, wisdom, forgiveness, and spiritual growth. His grace meets us in our weaknesses and empowers us to keep moving forward.
Many believers struggle with feelings of inadequacy, believing they must earn God’s acceptance. Yet grace reminds us that God’s love is a gift, not a reward. Because of Christ, we are accepted, forgiven, and deeply loved.
Today, rest in God’s grace. Allow His mercy to free you from guilt and inspire you to live for His glory.
Prayer
Father, thank You for Your amazing grace. Thank You for loving me when I was undeserving and for providing salvation through Jesus Christ.
Help me never take Your grace for granted. Teach me to rely on Your strength rather than my own abilities. When I fail, remind me of Your mercy. When I feel weak, remind me of Your power.
Lord, let Your grace transform every area of my life. Help me extend the same grace to others that You have generously shown to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
