For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
Jesus redefined greatness through service. In a world that often celebrates status and recognition, Christ demonstrated that true greatness is found in humility and selfless love.
Serving others reflects the heart of God. Every act of kindness, encouragement, generosity, and compassion becomes an opportunity to demonstrate His love. Service is not limited to grand gestures; it is often expressed through simple acts that make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
When we serve others, we also grow spiritually. Service helps us become less self-centered and more aware of the needs around us. It allows God’s love to flow through us and impact the lives of those we encounter.
Today, look for opportunities to serve. Ask God to show you how you can be a blessing to someone else.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the example of Jesus, who came not to be served but to serve. Teach me to follow His example in my daily life.
Help me see the needs of others and respond with compassion. Remove selfishness, pride, and indifference from my heart. Give me a willingness to serve even when it requires sacrifice or inconvenience.
Lord, use me as a vessel of Your love and kindness. Let my actions reflect Your character and bring encouragement to those around me. May my service point others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
