Devotional : STRENGTH FOR TODAY | June 8, 2026
Written by Sunny Unachi on 8th June 2026
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
There are seasons when life feels overwhelming and our own strength is not enough. The good news is that God never intended us to rely solely on ourselves. He offers divine strength to those who depend on Him.
Waiting upon the Lord does not mean doing nothing; it means placing our hope in Him and trusting His timing. As we remain connected to Him through prayer and His Word, He renews our strength.
God’s strength is often revealed most clearly in our weakness. When we acknowledge our need for Him, His power sustains us and enables us to keep moving forward.
Whatever challenges you face today, remember that God’s strength is available to you. Lean on Him and trust Him to carry you through.
Prayer
Father, I come before You acknowledging my need for Your strength. There are burdens I cannot carry alone and challenges that seem greater than my ability.
Thank You for promising to renew the strength of those who wait upon You. Help me not to depend solely on my own resources but to rely on Your power. Strengthen me emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally.
Lord, give me endurance for today’s journey and courage for every challenge I face. Help me remain faithful even when I feel weary. Thank You for being my source of strength and hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
