Book Blest, the 2nd Stroud Christian book festival takes place over 3 days from 2nd to 4th November, with thanks to sponsors, Gloucester Diocese, St. Mary’s Church at Woodchester, Holy Trinity Stroud, Stroud Baptist Church, Five Valleys Christian Fellowship and Stroud Baptist Church; where all of the events will be held.

This year the festival will be even bigger and better, with an extra day there will be more events and more authors.  The events include 2 evenings with outstanding, internationally acclaimed keynote speakers, Patrick Regan OBE and Ruth Rice.  Patrick is the CEO and Founder of Kintsugi Hope UK; Ruth is the CEO and Founder of Renew Wellbeing.

The central festival theme for this year is, ‘RESTORE RENEW REJOICE’ and both keynote speakers will be talking about their work, personal experience and books to help combat issues related to mental health.

All events are free to enter, though the keynote speaker events are entry with a free ticket, which is available online from www.bookblest.co.uk or pick up a physical ticket from Scrolleaters bookshop, Brunel Mall, Stroud.

“We are so honoured to bring these two renowned Christian leaders and authors to Stroud”, says Festival Director, Brendan Conboy.  “Both of them have a truly inspiring story to tell.  You don’t have to be a Christian to attend these events, no matter what you believe, you will find hope, encouragement and aspiration for life.”

The festival also features 17 other Christian authors from all over England.  Whether you are an author or especially if you are an avid reader, there will be something for everyone including a poetry workshop, a children’s reading time, an author forum and a workshop, plus a unique collection of books for sale and a chance to meet the authors.
