Due to popular demand poets Ezekiel, Janette…ikz and Preston Perry return to the UK for another spectacular double bill this May 5th 2018 bank holiday at City Gates Church,London. On this highly anticipated second visit and to the delight of fans, they will be joined by Chris Webb and Joseph Solomon.
The UK has a vibrant and spirited spoken word scene filled with rising talents – all of whom are expectant of the American poets. Attendees across the two shows last April numbered over 1200 making it the biggest Christian based poetry event even in its debut year. This May, the poets aim to deliver another round of scintillating words, rhyming couplets, strategic sentence structures and theatrics on several important themes in the faith.
With an intense schedule across the two days the UK is in for a treat and then some. All five poets perform in each show on Saturday 5th followed on Sunday 6th May by the PIA Workshop and Joseph Solomon’s headline show.
Accolades for last year were inclusive of not just the fantastic performances but also around the events organisation with the PIA poets giving high praise to the London team for ‘top quality professionalism’. Attendees feedback for the shows included ‘life-changing’ ‘spectacular’ ‘stupendous’ ‘best ever’ ‘incredible’ and more.
Exciting times once again as the organisers are searching for UK and Europe’s best poet to open the PIA World Tour – London in what is now dubbed the #PIA2018Challenge. Last year’s winner Sarah Amankwah claimed it an ‘honour and privilege’. This year there’s been over 40 submissions and voting is expected to go live from Thursday 12th of April.
