Article: What God Says About You Is What It Is

Written by on 19th August 2026

There will be times when the world will tell you things that are the total opposite of what God has said about you.

Life may be hard, disappointing, delayed, failing, or uncertain. And while looking at your current state, you might find yourself asking, “Perhaps God wasn’t telling me the truth about me. Perhaps I did miss my time, and perhaps He doesn’t have the same plans for me anymore.”

However, here is the thing—the hard times do not negate the divine plans God has set for you.

Our circumstances are one of the tactics of the enemy to make us doubt God’s Word. When we’re having hard times now, we are likely to define ourselves according to our situation. However, our circumstance is not who we are.

God says you are His masterpiece.

“For we are his masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…” — Ephesians 2:10

You may be in a season of waiting, but you are not forgotten. You may be rebuilding, but you are not defeated. You may have fallen, but your fall doesn’t define you.

God’s words about you are still true. Don’t Allow Your Season to Overwrite Who You Are

David became king much earlier than he ever got to sit on the throne. Joseph had dreams much earlier than he ever saw the bottom of a pit or the inside of a jail cell. The promises He made did not match their present situation, but God was still at work.

Sometimes, the time between the promise and fulfillment is very uncomfortable. But God’s silence does not mean His absence, and delay does not always mean denial.

As noted in Isaiah 55:11, God’s Word will do what He sends it to do. Therefore, when your emotions tell you, “It will never happen,” think of what God promised you.

When failure tells you, “You are finished,” think of what God promised you. When rejection tells you, “You are not enough,” think of what God promised you.

And when you feel frustrated with the waiting period, think of what God promised you. The Last Word of God Over Your Life, your self-identity should not be based on other people’s judgment of you, your past sins, present problems, and present status.

God gets the final say over you.

He calls you chosen (1 Peter 2:9).
He calls you His own (John 1:12).
He calls you more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).
He promises that He has plans for your future and hope for you (Jeremiah 29:11).

Whatever your season is. Whatever your environment is. Whatever your emotions are. But God is faithful. So, don’t believe every voice that speaks against what God has spoken over your life.
