Devotional: GOD’S PEACE
Written by Sunny Unachi on 7th June 2026
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
The peace that Jesus offers is unlike anything the world can provide. Worldly peace depends on favorable circumstances, but God’s peace remains even when life feels uncertain.
Jesus spoke these words to His disciples before facing the cross. He knew challenges were ahead, yet He assured them that His peace would sustain them. This same peace is available to believers today.
God’s peace does not always remove the storm immediately, but it gives us confidence that He is present within it. When we surrender our worries to Him, He replaces anxiety with assurance and fear with trust.
Today, choose to rest in God’s peace. Trust that He is in control and that His presence is greater than any challenge you face.
Prayer
Father, I thank You for the gift of Your peace. You know every concern, burden, and uncertainty that weighs upon my heart.
Today I surrender my fears and anxieties to You. Help me trust that You are working even when I cannot see it. Guard my heart and mind from worry and fill me with confidence in Your promises.
Lord, let Your peace rule in my heart. Help me remain calm in difficult situations and trust Your guidance through every challenge. Thank You for being my refuge and strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
