Devotional : WALKING BY FAITH

Written by on 2nd June 2026

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Faith is the foundation of the Christian life. It is what enables us to trust God even when circumstances seem contrary to His promises. Walking by faith means choosing to believe God’s Word above what we see, feel, or experience. It means holding onto His truth when the path ahead is unclear.

Many times, we want God to reveal every detail before we move forward. Yet throughout Scripture, God often gave direction one step at a time. Noah built an ark before seeing the rain. Abraham left his homeland without knowing where God would lead him. Peter stepped out of the boat before he experienced the miracle of walking on water. Their obedience was not based on visible evidence but on confidence in God’s character.

Faith does not deny challenges; it acknowledges them while believing that God is greater. It is the assurance that even when we cannot trace His hand, we can trust His heart. Every challenge presents an opportunity to deepen our dependence on Him.

Today, choose faith over fear. Trust that God is already working in situations where you see no immediate answers. His promises remain true, and His timing is always perfect.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for being faithful in every season of my life. Forgive me for the times I have allowed fear, doubt, and uncertainty to overshadow my trust in You. Help me to walk by faith and not by sight.

When circumstances appear difficult and answers seem far away, remind me that You are still in control. Strengthen my heart to believe Your promises even when I cannot see immediate results. Teach me to rely on Your Word and not on my emotions or changing situations.

Lord, increase my faith and help me remain steadfast in obedience. Let my confidence rest in who You are and not in what I see around me. Guide my steps today and fill me with the courage to trust You completely. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
