DESOLA is an inspirational singer, songwriter, music artist and a worship leader.

The MOBO featured and award-winning music artist was born into a non-Christian home but always felt that there was something unique about music that touches the heart. This feeling no doubt had a massive impact in her life as a teenager and the love of music grow and the desire to sing continued till this day.

Having sang with music groups and church choirs, it was only a few years ago that she yielded to the unrelenting call into the music industry. It was at this point that a desire to become an inspirational Christian, gospel artist was birthed. Her life was filled with stories that are a mix of joy, tears, and laughter. This describes the challenges and victories that she has been through and the recovery through the relenting love of God. 

She captures these experiences to songs to inspire her and help others to discover the greatness and sovereignty of God. “The first inspiration comes when God spoke in songs on doing His will to fly high above any troubled waters”. This is a revelation God brought to her on desiring a wing like a dove and to fly away from all the struggles to a place to of rest. She released her debut album “Rest” in 2014 a 12-track debut album.

This immediately followed by a second album “Intimacy” in 2018 both albums have won several awards including Critic Choice Gospel Artist of the year at the Gospel Touch award in 2016 and 2018. She later won Best gospel at the BEFFTA award in 2019 among many others over the years. Desola has released visuals video alongside single releases. There are also recorded testimonies from fans around the world on the impact of her songs through God that brings transformation.  

Desola’s eclectic musical taste which cuts across neo–soul and jazz to RnB and traditional gospel are reflected in her songs. Her song writing is heartfelt. She has a natural ability to connect with the listener ensuring that the message presented in a creative and melodious way. 

Desola is a regular at the London African Music Festival in which she has presented herself with her band at major music venues such as Hootenanny, Brixton, and Vortex Jaxx Café. She shared same stage with Erica Campbell of the Mary Mary and Annastasia Baker at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire. She has also had two top 3 tracks in the UK Christian Chart as well as being featured on the Mobo.com website as one to watch. 

Her desire is to spread love, hope and faith to many lives through her music. She believes Jesus is the light of the world that chases darkness away. By accepting him as the highest authority and submission to him. She aims to get people together wherever they are with their journey to inspire and uplift them to not only get them back on their but also thrive.
