Devotion: HEALED BY THE WORD

People insulted him, but he did not insult them back. He sufered, but he did not threaten anyone. No, he let God take care of him. God is the one who judges rightly. Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross. He did this so that we would stop living for sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you were healed.
1 Peter 2:23,24
Do you know that as a redeemed child of God, sickness has no right to invade your body?
“Of course, I do!” You reply and perhaps rolled your eyes with an attude. You’ve been a Christan for eons and you know these things, right?!
But do you believe it?
So, this is where this conversaton begins. Knowing, being aware, is not believing. Believing is of the heart and initates transformaton or a moving towards the truth. We walk in freedom when we know the truth. The truth here is, you WERE (past tense) healed already. Your healing was setled when Jesus was insulted and mutlated so He could pay for your healing.
Look at this scenario, someone already paid your mortgage or any other debt you owed, your account was completely cleared and you got the ‘PAID IN FULL’ notfcaton, yet you’re stll breaking your back making the monthly payment. Got the picture.
Now, I once heard someone say, you can’t stop a bird from fying over your head, but you can sure stop it from building a nest in your hair. Same way, you can’t stop Satan from temptng you with sickness and disease, but you have a choice to fall for it.
PAID IN FULL
We live in a fallen world and sickness is part of the landscape. But as children of God, we live under a diferent government. The edict of our Kingdom is “we WERE healed.” That word is good for the bank any tme. We only need to believe it and afrm it with our words. Never let your conclusion of the mater be based on someone else’s experience or even yours in the past. From now on, determine you will only stand for the truth, God’s verdict on the mater.
Friend, healing is always available, are you receiving it and afrming it with your words?
YOUR RESPONSE
Search the scriptures for healing scriptures and like God commanded Joshua begin to meditate on them and let them not depart from your eyes or mouth so your default response to any atack on your body will be the truth, “by the stripes of Jesus, I WAS healed!”
Perhaps you have a sickness in your body right now, ask the Holy Spirit for the Father’s counsel regarding walking in the fullness of your healing and begin to eat it up through meditaton.
PRAYER:
Father, I am grateful for the sacrifce of Jesus in bringing me healing and wholeness. I ask You to help me to daily receive this gif as I speak the truth over my body and align my mind to Your word. I rejoice
in this truth as I dig my heel down into Your love for me and I enjoy the life fowing from Your love. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
