1. Invest Yourself In God’s Word

“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:31.

Firstly, you need to believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and that he will guide you through your life and that you will gain trust in him. The more you invest yourself in God’s word the more you will slowly start to grow your faith.

2. Read and Meditate on the Word of God


This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

Learn to read and meditate on the word of God. Often time people that are growing in faith may find this to be overwhelming. So reading a scripture a day will help become closer to God and will help you see life from a different perspective. Reading a scripture a day will help your faith grow and strengthen you with every storm that you face.

3. Pray

Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Prayer changes everything, it is an act of faith and even when you have faith as small as a mustard seed, it helps move mountains. Open up to god about all your worries, let him in and he won’t forsake you. Prayer doesn’t have to be extravagant, it can just a simple few words. Call out his name and let him lead you.

4. Grow your Faith by Trusting Him in the Storms

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. James 1:1:2-3.

Lean on God through your trials and tribulations, this is the ultimate test of your faith. The more you trust him the more your faith will produce perseverance. It’s easier said than done, but remember when you have faith as small as a mustard seed, God will guide you through it all.

5 Grow your Faith through Fellowship

‘As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another’ Proverbs 27:17.

Surround yourself with other believers of Christ where you can fellowship and grow your faith. Being around other believers can inspire and motivate you to have strong faith in Christ.
